COMING UP SOON:
INSIDE A MUSICAL MASTERPIECE
On Remembrance Sunday, enter a labyrinth of music, memory and moral questioning as we literally take you inside Richard Strauss’s Metamorphosen for 23 Solo Strings.
Emerging from the destruction of Germany’s cultural heritage in 1943-44, Strauss’s intensely moving meditation will be lovingly opened up, its strands examined and revealed by conductor Tom Seligman, in the intimate setting of this museum dedicated to the wonders of the body.
Prepare to be surrounded and enveloped by sound, in a way you may never have experienced. Move around the players while we explore the piece together; then choose any place to sit or stand, during a complete performance.
The event lasts around an hour, and you are welcome to enjoy the Museum both before and afterwards.
